A New Chapter For Perri Cutten
There’s something to be said about receiving a compliment from a stranger, yet when it is multiple in a short space of time, you know that an item of clothing, especially a coat, is truly making a statement.
Landing last Friday from Brisbane in Sydney to a gloomy, chilly 11 degree day it was almost the perfect conditions for an intimate lunch to celebrate not only a beautiful new Autumn Winter collection but also 45 years for an Australian sweetheart and legacy brand, Perri Cutten and an exciting new chapter.
Walking into the setting of Hotel Centennial, welcomed through a floor to ceiling bookcase door, mahogany wood accents, cosy layers and textures, a blistering fireplace and fabulously dressed women showcasing their individuality, style and and the new AW26 collection. In hues of burgundy, Bordeaux, olive and classic black defined by wool suiting, leather and silks it was a celebration of what inspires the Perri Cutten muses. Real women with a timeless & individual take on wardrobe foundations.
Welcomed upstairs into The Apartment with the high ceilings, arched windows overlooking the changing autumnal leaves, beautiful table styling by Stella Co it was truly the most divine setting to enjoy a delicious lunch filled with beautiful conversations, new learnings and new connections. As a stylist, it was so incredibly inspiring to hear more about what this next chapter for the brand looks like, chat design considerations, style and inspiration for the pieces, but most importantly the journey you as a consumer can expect to be part of as you continue to formulate your own evolution of your wardrobe.
The fashion landscape is competitive and at times trying, to ensure the balance between evolution, legacy and maintain the craft of much loved brands, yet to also continue to welcome customers and women to feel empowered and confident through all seasons of life. From the what has evolved from a brand that was built around ‘classics based around corporate menswear with a elegant twist’ to a focus on ‘instilling confidence through modern tailoring with a gracious edge’, this next chapter is a testament to enduring style.
